Our Vision is to create stronger neighbourhood connections where people feel valued, listened to, and supported.
Our Mission is to help reduce loneliness, strengthen communities, and encourage a greater sense of belonging across Widnes, Runcorn, and the wider Halton community.
We Recognise the positive impact volunteering can have on individuals and communities. Volunteers may benefit from increased confidence, improved communication skills, and meaningful opportunities to make a positive difference within their local community.
Neighbourhood Connectors CIC matches trained volunteers with people who would benefit from regular friendly conversation, companionship, and social connection. Visits will typically take place between 4:00pm and 9:00pm, providing support during late afternoons and evenings when many services are unavailable.
We accept referrals from families, carers, NHS professionals, social workers, and community organisations.
During the pilot phase, participants will usually receive one visit each week, helping to build trusted connections and regular social contact within the community.

Weekly Friendly Visits
Neighbourhood Connectors CIC is committed to maintaining clear safeguarding and governance standards.
All volunteers undertaking visits will require DBS checks and receive appropriate training and support.
The organisation will produce quarterly and annual reports to support transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The service will initially pilot in Widnes, with plans to expand into Runcorn as the volunteer network grows.
During the first year, Neighbourhood Connectors CIC aims to recruit approximately 40 volunteers and support around 30 participants across the local community.
