At Neighbourhood Connectors, we believe that nobody should feel alone. We bring people together through friendly visits, meaningful conversations, and community connections that help reduce loneliness and isolation across Halton.
Our volunteers offer a listening ear, companionship, and encouragement, helping people feel valued, supported, and connected to the world around them. Through simple acts of kindness and regular contact, we're building stronger communities—one conversation at a time.
Provide friendly face-to-face conversations and companionship
Offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental listening ear
Build positive and trusting relationships with participants
Help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
Encourage social connection and community involvement where appropriate
Signpost participants to local services, groups, and activities when relevant
Maintain appropriate boundaries and follow safeguarding guidance
Keep in contact with the Coordinator regarding any concerns or support needs
Volunteer of the Month – Geraldine Edwards
This month we are delighted to recognise Geraldine Edwards as our Volunteer of the Month. Geraldine has played a vital role in helping Neighbourhood Connectors with the development and setup of our website. Her dedication, knowledge and support have been invaluable, and we simply could not have done it without her.
